To paraphrase a key takeaway from an episode of The CEO Series, “If you’re a CEO, the buck stops with you.  Everything that goes right or wrong in your organization is your fault.”  This is absolutely correct!

Because the chief executive/leader of an organization is accountable for all of its outcomes, I will never “pass the buck” on to APPP’s other leaders, Board of Directors, staff, or supporters with regard to unfavorable outcomes.  Accountability for the good, the bad, and the ugly in our operations and mission is all mine!

To be transparent and vulnerable with you, I’ll admit that even though I’m proud of APPP’s growth and resilience, I’m disappointed in the slow rate of our growth and program development.  Our staff and Board of Directors have made excellent contributions to our success, but I take responsibility for our shortcomings.  There are a lot of personal and professional skills that I will develop to address and overcome our program development hurdles.  But while I work on this, I must continue to thank you all for your continuous support!  APPP definitely couldn’t realize our mission without you!
