Giving Thanks, This Month and Always

I won't hold you all—I know the holidays keep everyone busy! But I did want to pause and say that Thanksgiving Day serves as my annual reminder to practice gratitude, and this year especially, it's been transformative. When I lean into gratitude for all that I have, and all that APPP has, it transmutes all the negative we've encountered this year into something positive and meaningful. Being an executive director has been scary, new, and often discouraging—there have been moments when I questioned everything. But counting my blessings (specifically, your support and the platform we've built together for cultural preservation in San Basilio de Palenque) has sustained me through the challenges. As I mentioned previously, I'm forever thankful for all of you!
